31-Day Creative Challenge
So ya girl was facing a lot of rejection early 2025, and I mean A LOT. No one really talks about how much rejection effects your creative motivation, so, in attempt to fall back in love with creating, I challenged myself to make something everyday.
You can watch the full series on my TikTok, but here are some of my fav creations:
Dry’s Stomach Relief
Client: Canada Dry
Black people have used Canada Dry’s Ginger Ale as a stomach relief since dogs could bark. To honor this tradition, Canada Dry is going to release a limited edition Ginger Ale-flavored cough syrup (that actually works).
Sociolect Recognition
Client: Grammarly
It’s frustrating for Black writers who use Ebonics to have their dialect overlooked and flagged as incorrect.
Grammarly fixed that problem by offering an updated feature: Sociolect Recognition.
Writers can toggle this setting on or off when setting goals, allowing Grammarly to respect their voice.
The tool will be trained on Black slang and the linguistic rules of Ebonics, ensuring culturally relevant language is recognized, not penalized.
Raising Cane’s: A Sitcom
Client: Raising Cane’s
Meet Cane: a chicken tender boy. He’s got homework, awkward crushes, and the occasional fryer-related trauma. It’s a mockumentary sitcom of a breaded boy, his family, and a whole lot of sauce.
The McStatus
Client: McDonalds’s
Everybody knows the feeling of going to McDonald's for a creamy, delicious McFlurry, just to be let down because the ice cream machine is broken.
To save customers from unnecessary letdowns (and valid crashouts), we’re introducing a new in-app feature: McStatus.
This new map add-on, exclusive for McDonald’s App users, will share which ice cream machines work (and which are broken) in a user's area.
If the pin is green, the ice cream machine works; if it’s red, the machine is broken.
So, let us know: What’s the McStatus?
“Peace of Mind” :60/:30
She waited all day for her Oreo McFlurry, only to hear the dreaded words: “ice cream machine’s down.” She *almost* crashes out. Luckily now, there’s an app that lets you check ahead, so no more heartbreak, just peace of mind (and Oreos).
Less Prompting, More Thinking
Client: Baylor University
Roughly 86% of college students said they regularly used AI in their studies. Let’s make them remember who’s education is important (and at stake).
